Browserbase Navigate is the conference for teams shipping agents, and the site had to feel like the event: a place you wander rather than a schedule you scan. I built a pixel-art world that unfolds as you scroll, with San Francisco as a skyline of Painted Ladies, talks as buildings you approach, and speakers at their windows.
The passport is the through-line. Every talk you visit stamps it, and the stamps are the schedule builder, so collecting is planning. It carried through to the physical event, where the printed passport matched the one in your pocket.
Under the hood: a WebGL tile renderer with a scroll-driven camera, a CMS the organisers could edit without breaking the world, and a performance budget that held on conference-hall wifi and five-year-old phones.
